BlowHardOn Microsoft Media

I have so many gripes about Microsoft Windows XP Media Center 2005 and about MediaPlayer 10 that those two topics get their own blog space. It might get so bad that I have to separate them into individual blogs later.

MediaPlayer 10 sucks

I have tried to adjust to Microsoft MediaPlayer 10. I just can't stand it. Unfortuantely, there's little else out there that compares so Microsoft has no pressure to make it right.

In this article, I am going to list things that suck about MediaPlayer until the article just gets too long and then I'll start another one on this topic.

  • The Now Playing List sucks! MediaPlayer 9 had a pretty good Now Playing List. It clearly highlighted the current track and displayed the details you would want to see. When MediaPlayer is playing and something in my library catches my attention, I look up to see what the track, album, artist, etc. are. I want that imformation quickly available. The new Now Playing List in MediaPlayer 10 doesn't show enough information and doesn't clearly highlight the current track. It just plain sucks. I wish I could get MediaPlayer 9 back!
